Obituary for Ila Adair

Ila Lenora Adair, 87, of Sedalia, died Friday evening, February 17, 2017 at her home. She was born September 22, 1929, daughter of Lonny Sammuel Paxton and Lois Mae Savage. In August 1946, in Sedalia, Mo she married Junior (Scrappy) Adair who preceded her in death. Mrs. Adair was a member of the Abundant Harvest Worship Center and enjoyed working for the Lord in her church. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafts of many varieties. Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Adair and wife Debbie, Ironton, Mo; Gordon Adair and wife Sheree, Florence, Mo; David Adair and wife Terri, Sedalia, Mo; two brothers, Earl S. Paxton, Sedalia, Mo; Albert Spellmeyer, Sedalia, Mo; a sister, Ardell Whisnant and her much loved poodle Gidget. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Junior; a daughter, Bonnie Adair, a sister Charlotte Phillips and two brothers, Lloyd Paxton and Charlie Paxton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Kroeger officiating. Private burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery
